Guidelines for Multidisciplinary Excellence: Research & Publication Standards
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Research and Trends (IJMAT) is built on a foundation of academic integrity, ethical scholarship, and publishing excellence. These comprehensive guidelines are designed to ensure that all submitted work—from authors to reviewers to editors—upholds our commitment to rigorous, high-quality, and impactful multidisciplinary research.
1. Scope and Vision for Research
IJMAT seeks original, high-impact contributions that exemplify scholarly rigor across all fields. We strongly encourage research that:
Presents novel findings, innovative theoretical models, or advanced methodological techniques.
Explores interdisciplinary intersections and connections between distinct academic domains.
Addresses current global or societal trends with practical solutions and empirical evidence.
Provides comprehensive reviews that map out the state of the art in emerging research areas.
| Submission Type | Focus |
| Original Research Articles | Empirical or theoretical studies with novel findings. |
| Review Papers | Comprehensive, systematic, or meta-analytic literature surveys. |
| Case Studies | In-depth analysis of specific events, situations, or organizations. |
| Conceptual/Theoretical Papers | Development of new models, frameworks, or theories. |
2. Upholding Ethical Research Practices
Adherence to the highest international ethical standards is non-negotiable for publication in IJMAT.
Integrity and Transparency: Research must be conducted honestly, transparently, and responsibly. Data must be original, accurate, and free from fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.
Informed Consent and Approvals: Studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must provide proof of appropriate ethical clearance and informed consent documents.
Conflict of Interest: Any potential financial, professional, or personal conflicts that could be perceived as influencing the research findings must be explicitly declared upon submission.
Plagiarism Policy: All manuscripts are rigorously screened for plagiarism. Submissions exhibiting more than 10–15% similarity (excluding standard references) will be subject to immediate rejection. IJMAT strictly follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines for handling all ethical misconduct concerns.
3. Manuscript Preparation Essentials
Authors must ensure their manuscript is clear, concise, and formatted correctly in professional English.

4. Submission and Review Process
Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online system or emailed to editor@ijmat.org. Files should be in .doc / .docx format.
Initial Screening: The editorial team assesses the manuscript for scope, quality, and ethical compliance.
Peer Review: IJMAT employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review policy. Submissions are sent to at least one independent expert reviewer.
Decision: Reviewers evaluate originality, methodological soundness, and scholarly contribution. The final decision (Accept, Revise, or Reject) is based on their feedback.
Review Timeline: The typical review process aims to be completed within 3–6 weeks, though this is dependent on reviewer availability.
5. Authorship and Copyright
Authorship: All individuals listed as authors must have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research. Changes in authorship after initial submission require written, unanimous approval from all listed authors. Guest, gift, or ghost authorship is strictly prohibited.
Open Access & Copyright: Authors retain the copyright to their work. Articles are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, ensuring that your research is globally visible and freely available for sharing and adaptation (with proper citation).
