Research Guidelines

The International Journal of Creative and Open Research in Engineering and Management (IJCOPE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, research ethics, and publication quality. These guidelines provide clear directions for authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure that all submissions align with the journal’s values of creativity, openness, and rigorous scholarship.

1. Scope of Research

IJCOPE welcomes original, high-quality research contributions in the areas of Engineering, Management, and related interdisciplinary fields. We encourage submissions that:

• Present original research findings, innovative methodologies, or technological advancements.

• Explore interdisciplinary intersections between engineering and management.

• Offer case studies, theoretical models, or applied solutions to industry and societal challenges.

• Promote open research practices, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

• Original Research Articles

• Review Papers

• Case Studies

• Conceptual or Theoretical Papers

2. Ethical Research Practices

IJCOPE adheres strictly to international research and publication ethics standards. Authors must ensure that:

• Research is conducted honestly, responsibly, and transparently.

• Data is accurate, original, and not fabricated, falsified, or manipulated.

• All sources are properly cited and plagiarism is strictly avoided.

• Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data has received appropriate ethical clearance and informed consent where required.

• Conflicts of interest are clearly declared.

Plagiarism Policy:
All submissions undergo plagiarism screening. Manuscripts with more than 10–15% similarity (excluding references) may be rejected without review. IJCOPE follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines for handling ethical concerns.

3. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Authors must prepare manuscripts in clear, concise English. Submissions should follow the structure below:

a. Title Page:

• Title of the paper

• Author(s) name, affiliation, and contact information

• Corresponding author details

• ORCID iD (if available)

b. Abstract (150–250 words):
Summarize the research objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions. Include 4–6 keywords.

c. Main Text:

• Introduction: Context, objectives, and significance of the study

• Literature Review: Brief overview of relevant existing work

• Methodology: Research design, data collection, and analysis methods

• Results and Discussion: Findings supported by figures, tables, and interpretation

• Conclusion: Summary, implications, and future research directions

d. References:
Follow APA (7th Edition) or IEEE citation style, consistently throughout the manuscript.

e. Figures and Tables:

• Number consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).

• Provide descriptive captions.

• Submit high-quality images (minimum 300 dpi for figures).

4. Submission Guidelines

• Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system or by email to editor@ijmat.org.

• The manuscript file should be in .doc / .docx format (not PDF).

• Authors are encouraged to suggest 2–3 potential reviewers (with email and affiliation), though the final selection remains at the editors’ discretion.

5. Peer Review Process

IJCOPE follows a double-blind peer-review policy to ensure objectivity and quality.

• Each submission is initially screened by the editorial team for scope, quality, and ethical compliance.

• Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least one independent reviewer.

• Reviewers evaluate the work on originality, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field.

• Based on reviewers’ feedback, manuscripts may be accepted, revised, or rejected.

• The typical review timeline is 3–6 days, depending on reviewer availability.

6. Authorship and Contributions

All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and agree with the content of the submitted manuscript.

• The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and ensuring co-author approval.

• Guest authorship, gift authorship, or ghostwriting is not permitted.

• Changes in authorship after submission require written approval from all authors.

7. Open Access and Copyright Policy

IJCOPE publishes all content under an Open Access model.

• Authors retain copyright to their work.

• Articles are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.

• There are no subscription barriers, ensuring global visibility of published research.

8. Post-Publication Practices

• Authors are encouraged to promote their published work through academic networks, repositories, and conferences.

• Post-publication corrections, errata, or retractions will follow COPE guidelines.

• IJCOPE welcomes post-publication discussions and critical commentary.
