Terms and Conditions

Introduction

International Journal of Creative and Open Research in Engineering and Management (IJCOPE) is an open access, international, and multi-disciplinary journal committed to advancing innovative and impactful education research. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of IJCOPE’s website, submission processes, publication practices, and related services. By accessing or contributing to IJCOPE, including submitting manuscripts or using published content, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Open Access Policy

  • All content published by IJCOPE is freely accessible under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, provided proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and IJCOPE.
  • Users must comply with the CC BY 4.0 license terms, available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.
  • IJCOPE does not impose subscription fees or access barriers, ensuring global accessibility in line with open access principles.

2. Submission and Publication

  • Eligibility: IJCOPE accepts submissions from researchers, educators, and practitioners worldwide, provided manuscripts align with the journal’s scope and submission guidelines, available on the Submission Guidelines page.
  • Manuscript Ownership: By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that it is their original work, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere. Authors retain copyright but grant IJCOPE a non-exclusive license to publish the work under the CC BY 4.0 license.
  • Peer Review: IJCOPE employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and quality. Authors agree to participate in this process and address reviewer feedback as part of the publication process.
  • Article Processing Charges (APCs): To support open access, IJCOPE may charge APCs upon manuscript acceptance. Authors will be informed of any applicable fees and eligibility for waivers or discounts (e.g., for authors from low- and middle-income countries) during the submission process. APC details are available upon request at editor@ijmat.org.
  • Archiving: Published articles are archived in recognized digital repositories to ensure long-term accessibility.

3. Ethical Standards

  • Publication Ethics: IJCOPE adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Authors, reviewers, and editors must comply with policies on authorship, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, data transparency, and ethical research practices.
  • Plagiarism and Misconduct: IJCOPE uses plagiarism detection software to screen submissions. Any instances of plagiarism, data fabrication, or other misconduct will result in rejection or retraction, following COPE guidelines.
  • Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the manuscript and agree to its submission. Changes to authorship after submission require written consent from all authors and approval from the editorial office.
  • Ethical Approval: Research involving human participants or animals must include a statement confirming ethical approval from an institutional review board (IRB) or equivalent body, with informed consent documented where applicable.

4. User Responsibilities

  • Website Use: Users of IJCOPE’s website (including authors, reviewers, and readers) agree to use the site for lawful purposes only and not to engage in activities that disrupt or compromise its functionality, such as hacking or unauthorized data access.
  • Content Use: Users may access and use IJCOPE’s published content in accordance with the CC BY 4.0 license. Any misuse, including failure to provide proper attribution, may result in legal action.
  • Accuracy of Information: Authors and users submitting information (e.g., contact details, affiliations) are responsible for ensuring its accuracy and completeness.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Author Rights: Authors retain copyright of their work but grant IJCOPE the right to publish, distribute, and archive the article under the CC BY 4.0 license.
  • Third-Party Content: Authors must obtain permission for any third-party material (e.g., images, figures) included in their manuscript and provide documentation to the editorial office.
  • Journal Content: IJCOPE’s website content, including logos, design, and text (excluding published articles), is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without permission.

6. Corrections, Retractions, and Appeals

  • Corrections: Errors in published articles will be corrected promptly via errata or corrigenda, with clear documentation on the journal’s website.
  • Retractions: IJCOPE reserves the right to retract articles found to violate ethical standards, following COPE guidelines. Retracted articles will remain accessible with a clear retraction notice.
  • Appeals: Authors may appeal editorial decisions by contacting editor@ijmat.org. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated editorial board member, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
